Peace and Development Makers Forum Announces the Formation of an
International Human Rights Mission
In the first steps of the Peace and Development Makers Forum (PDMF) in the way of combating terrorism, spreading peace and implementing its vision and mission, it announced the start of the formation of an international human rights mission. It will consist of civil society organizations, which joined the PDMF with interest in human rights, especially in areas of conflict; in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 16; and in resolving conflicts in order to undertake a visit to the northern region of Syria to observe the human rights there and monitor if there are violations against its people. The visit has been announced by the PDMF during its conference on the sidelines of the Arab League's Sustainable Development Week in Cairo. It was also announced that a conference will be held in awake of this visit to announce the findings of the mission and the reality of the situation in the northern Syrian region. This comes in the context of the implementation of the objectives of the PDMF of renouncing violence and terrorism, spreading peace and seeking to create safe societies free from violence and terrorism.
