Aqeel: Cairo is at the forefront of violations, and some candidates use humanitarian cases to promote themselves.

The Parliamentary Elections Observatory of the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights continues to monitor the electoral environment for the second phase of the 2015 parliamentary elections. Ayman Aqeel, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights stated that the observatory has monitored many violations committed by the candidates, most notably the candidates' use of places of worship. Many candidates took advantage of government facilities in their propaganda through the propaganda posters and banners attached to the walls of these facilities, and in the same context Aqeel stated that the institution also monitored the positive behavior of the director of the educational administration in Sherbin of the Dakahlia Governorate, who insisted on transferring the director of Abu Jalal School in Sherbeen to investigation. For his permission to distribute electoral propaganda inside the school for the candidate Fawzi Al-Sharbasi and the candidate for the Sherbeen district in Dakahlia.

In the same context, candidate Saeed Hanafi Shababeek (the owner of a marble factory) in the eighteenth constituency / Al-Basateen / of the Cairo Governorate was reported to have organized a cleaning campaign on Ahmed Al-Sawy Street, where he rented trucks and loaders and affixed an electoral picture on it to be used in the cleaning campaign.

In the Cairo governorate of Helwan district, candidate Fouad Hamed's campaign was monitored to buy medicines and distribute them to the district’s residents through the Ma'an campaign of the electoral campaign.

The Parliamentary Elections Observatory of the Maat Foundation also monitored that the candidate Amr Al-Ashkar, from the Mayo and Tebbin district, visited the Pope Shenouda Church in May 15 to present his electoral program, asking the church to support him in the parliamentary elections.

And in the Governorate of Dakahlia in the seventh district / Department of Al-Manzala and Al-Matareya / Center: Al-Manzala - Al-Mataria/  Candidate Talaat Al-Juaidi was observed organizing an electoral march, in cars and motorcycles, using children. Children appeared carrying the candidate’s pictures and wearing clothes bearing his image and the electoral symbol.
