On the sidelines of its participation in the 38th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, an official delegation from the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights and the International Alliance for Peace and Development met at Palais Wilson in Geneva with the Special Rapporteur on the right to water at the United Nations.

Ayman Aqil, head of the Maat Foundation and the coordinator of the coalition, stated that the regional situations related to drinking water and the conflict over fresh water resources and their danger to the future of world peace were discussed, and the members of the coalition warned that they met with the UN expert that the next war may be a water war, especially since there are fourteen countries in Africa. Lack of adequate water resources; And whose need increases due to the increase in population.
