Introduction

During the first quarter of 2021, the Israeli occupation authorities continued to commit multiple and serious patterns of human rights violations, leaving a diverse map of victims among the different groups of the Palestinian people, as the occupation forces continued to carry out their crimes and violations against Palestinian civilians and their property, including the storming of Palestinian cities and their use. Excessive force, launching raids, arrests and acts of harassment against citizens, which led to further terrorizing civilians. Between attacks, confiscation, demolition, land plunder, displacement and siege, these three months have passed on the Palestinians, as they have been in the past 74 years.

The Israeli occupation authorities continued to perpetuate the policies of apartheid against the Palestinian people, through a set of laws, policies and practices designed to separate, divide and isolate the Palestinians, as the Palestinian people were intentionally divided into four separate legal, political and geographic sections, which include: Palestinians who hold Israeli citizenship, Palestinians residing in Jerusalem, Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza subject to Israeli military law, and Palestinian refugees exiled abroad, and these policies bear the greatest responsibility for the deterioration of living conditions in the Palestinian territories, depriving Palestinians of property and natural resources, and from controlling their wealth. Food and economic production, and these policies impose severe restrictions on the right to movement, residency, and family reunification.

During this report, the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights provides a monitoring and analysis of the most important political, legislative and humanitarian developments on the Palestinian arena, focusing on the most prominent violations committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the people of Palestine during the first quarter of 2021.
