The human rights situation in Somalia

offered to me: Human Rights Council, 39th session

AboutState of Somalia.

about Clause 10: Interactive dialogue “Report of the independent expert on the situation of human rights in Somalia (Resolution HRC 36/27)”.

Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights (Egypt) presents this report; To clarify the most important observations about the human rights situation in the state of Somalia, Maat Foundation believes that political stability, and thus the ability to fulfill rights in Somalia, will not be achieved in light of the interference of some countries in their internal affairs, especially with this transformation of Somalia into a very important strategic spot in the Horn of Africa and near The Bab al-Mandab Strait, which enjoys special importance in the system of international crossings.

The factors behind the failure of internal policies combined with foreign interventions and suspicious alliances in turning Somalia into a haven for terrorist organizations, and resulted in a severe decline in the level of public services, and deteriorating humanitarian conditions.
