Commitment to Honor Charter between parties is the way to democratization

Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights with the Germany Hanns Seidel Foundation concluded its first training for Egyptian political parties on the necessary knowledge and skills to manage effective electoral campaigns for the Egyptian parties, where 45 participants took part representing twenty political parties of the Egyptian political parties. This training course comes within the framework of Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights to support the political participation of parties in the upcoming elections taking place in Egypt after the revolution of 25 of January. At the end of the training, participants emphasized that they are able to contest the upcoming election in the light of the skills and capabilities which they were trained during training, which continued from the period of October 28, 2011 until November 2, 2011. The participants also stressed the importance of voters awareness of the new electoral system in order to avoid the invalidity of the votes, as well as support volunteering work and attract new volunteers for the campaign despite the poor economic conditions taking place in Egypt and can't do without volunteers. Participants called for the importance of working to raise funds for the campaign in kind or cash, and how to push and motivate supporters and fans for their contributions. At the closing session, Ms. "Nina Brash" distributed certificates of participation and training bags to participants, and she emphasized on the spirit of cooperation and fair competition between the Egyptian political parties that took place within the halls of training. Maintaining the integrity of elections is the path of democratic transformation in Egypt. All the participants confirmed that they have committed to honor charter to support the integrity of elections and transparency.
