The joint international local mission to follow up the parliamentary elections “Egypt 2015” continued its follow-up to the second day of the run-off in the Egyptian parliamentary elections in 70 constituencies of the stage, through the international and local observers' teams of the mission.

Yesterday, the mission observed a decrease in the voting rates, especially in light of the bad weather conditions in a number of governorates of the stage. The mission also observed yesterday a calm factor that prevailed in the electoral process and complete neutrality of the state agencies and bodies supervising the voting process, and there were only limited exceptions in rare cases that do not have them. Impact on the overall electoral process, as the mission observed yesterday a negative feature responsible for a number of candidates in the various governorates, which is the provision of electoral bribes to the voters. In some cases the few have arrived to distribute narcotic substances, although in many cases the insurance forces have moved positively to confront these phenomena, However, the difficulty of proving it and the fear of some voters of reporting the perpetrators did not enable the concerned agencies to reach all those who committed this legal violation.

This morning, the mission teams deployed in the field in a large number of polling stations, as observers observed regularity in opening the polling stations on the legal date set, and no delay in opening the committees was observed in limited cases, the most important of which were the following: -

1- Al-Buhaira Governorate / Abu Al-Matamir and Housh Aishy District / Al-Kom Al-Akhdar School / committees were opened at 9:15.

2- Sohag Governorate / Dar Al-Salam District / Al-Zarazara Primary School: A judge of committee No. 11 attended at 9:30 a.m. and the committee did not open until 9:50 a.m.

3- Sohag Governorate / Dar Al-Salam District / Arab Al-Attiyat Primary School: A judge of Janna 98 did not attend until 9:55 am.

4- Giza Governorate - Al Haram District - Muhammad Salama Preparatory School Committee - Number 121-124 committees were not opened until 9.45 am

5- Alexandria Governorate: Al-Montazah District First: Sidi Bishr Complex School: The committee did not open until 9:15

6- Minya / Minya Center / Al-Azhar Institute School / Committee 92 / The opening of the committee was delayed until 9:30 and the head of the committee refused to attend the observers to open the committee

7- Minya / Al-Adwa Center / Al-Ghadwa Primary School 2 / Committee 154 / Inclusion of Committee No. 156 to Committee 156 due to the absence of the Head of Committee 156 on the death of his brother.

On the other hand, the mission observed a negative impact of the wave of rains that renewed this morning in Alexandria and Beheira on the rates of turnout for the committees, as the areas of Abu Al-Matamir and Badr Center are almost empty due to the abundant rain in all parts of the district, and in the case of quite a few governorate departments Alexandria .

The mission will issue a second statement at exactly three o'clock this afternoon to provide more detailed information regarding the events of the first day of the electoral process, and during that you can follow us on the “Parliamentary Election Observatory Egypt 2015” page on the social networking site Facebook.
