The joint international - local mission concludes the training program for field monitors for parliamentary elections. The mission’s observatory continues the electoral process from February 1 until the final results are announced in 25 Egyptian governorates

The joint international - local mission to follow up on the parliamentary elections Egypt 2015 concluded today, Wednesday, January 28, 2015 the training program for the field monitoring team, in which the field monitors participated in 25 governorates (all governorates of Egypt except for the Red Sea and Matrouh governorates).
The "International - Local Joint Mission to Follow Up Parliamentary Elections Egypt 2015" includes the International Network for Rights and Development (GNRD) in Norway, the International Institute for Peace, Justice and Human Rights IIPJHR in Geneva and their local partner Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights, in addition to 31 local organizations.
The training program aimed at providing the monitoring team with the knowledge and skills that would enable them to follow the procedures of the electoral process in all electoral districts starting from the first of February 2015 until the conclusion of the polling and counting phase and the announcement of the results in next May.
The program also included training the monitoring team on the use of follow-up, monitoring and documentation models for everything related to the electoral process based on the organized legal legislation represented in the Law on the Exercise of Political Rights and the Parliament Law, so that they could identify violations and violations that could be witnessed by the electoral competition in different constituencies, and from Then contribute to a systematic assessment of the integrity and freedom of the process based on correct and objective information.

It is worth noting that the three organizations affiliated with the “Joint International - Local Mission to Monitor Parliamentary Elections - Egypt 2015” have obtained the necessary official permits from the Supreme Elections Committee on January 24, and are currently entering the data of the observers of the polling stage, and the mission is taking this opportunity to renew Its request to the Supreme Elections Committee to extend the period for entering codes from January 31, 2015 to February 6, 2015, so that civil society organizations can enter the data of all their followers.
