The joint international local mission to follow up the parliamentary elections “Egypt 2015” continued to follow up the voting process in the governorates of the first phase, as the mission, with its international and local teams, continued to spread geographically at the polling stations in seven governorates since the early hours of Monday, September 19, 2015.

According to the mission's initial observations, the situation is calm with the emergence of a slight increase in voting rates compared to its counterpart at the same time yesterday, the first day of voting, and the security procedures are still good, and the behavior and practices of the body supervising the electoral process were more organized from the first day of the voting process, As the delay in the process of opening committees - which was a prevalent feature yesterday - was limited today, and the most prominent cases are as follows

  1. Fayoum Governorate, Etsa District, Salah Salem Primary School, Etsa Primary School: The committees were opened in the two schools 9:30.
  2. Fayoum Governorate, Fayoum Center district, Ahmed Zaidan Complex, work inside the electoral committees started at 9.40 am.
  3. Faiyum Governorate - Abshway Center district, Senro Elementary School, the electoral commissions began working at 9.42 am.
  4. Alexandria Governorate / Amiriya District / Algeria School: The polling stations were opened to vote before the voters at 9:30 am.

3- Beni Suef Governorate, Ihnasia District / Industrial Secondary School in Ihnasia / Committee 8: The number of those who cast their votes is about 670 out of 2334 votes registered in the electoral lists.

4- Fayoum Governorate - Sinnuras Center District - Health Unit in the Senouras facility. The number of those who cast their votes reached 330 out of the total number of 2,168 registered voters in the electoral roll.

5- Fayoum Governorate - Tamiya Center District - Mahmoud Hamzawy Technical Secondary School for Girls, the number of those who cast their votes was 865 out of a total of 5800 registered in the electoral lists.

6- Giza Al-Badrashin, Al-Tarfaya village, the number of voters is 700 out of 12028

7- Giza Governorate - Omrania Department - Zewail School Committee - Committee No. 35 Total enrollments 2,198 of those who have voted so far 250

In another context, a team of international observers affiliated with the joint local international mission was subjected to harassment by a security personnel in the Wadi Natrun district and the Badr Center, specifically in front of the committees of Salah al-Din Preparatory School and the Martyr Walid Sayed Abdel-Moati School in the village of Umm Saber, where he insisted on obtaining and seizing their passports For half an hour, the mission submitted an immediate complaint to the Supreme Elections Committee and the Ministry of Interior Operations Room, which dealt with the matter and assigned the head of the Badr Center Department to go to the location of the incident and apologize to the delegation and allocate a police car to secure the team during its stay in the Badr Center area.
