The Daily Message for the International-Local Mission to Observe the Parliamentary Elections

The International-Local Mission to Observe the Egyptian Parliamentary Elections continued the observation and following-up to the candidate registration period for the parliamentary elections that was concluded yesterday, Saturday 12th of September 2015, where the number of applicants increased significantly with the end of the period for candidate registration, the total applicants reached 5936 by the end of the candidate registration period by an increase of 899 candidates from the day before where the candidates number was 5037 candidates.

On the lists level, the applicant lists reached 7 lists as follows: Cairo constituency; In Egypt's love, AlNoor, the Egyptian Front and Independence Current. In Upper Egypt constituency: three lists applied their candidacy as follows; Nedaa Masr, National Awakening Bloc, and In Egypt's Love. In west Delta five lists submitted their applications; In Egypt's love, AlNoor, the Egyptian Front and Independence Current, Nedaa Masr, Egypt Knights. In East Delta, only one list submitted its application: In Egypt's Love.

The Mission monitored parliamentary candidates using youth centers in elections campaigns in many governorates such as Sharkia and Minya:

The Mission is preparing a preliminary report to evaluate the period for candidate registration to be published by the evening of Monday, 14 September 2015.
