The Daily Message for the International-Local Mission to Observe the Parliamentary Elections

The Local - International Joint Mission continued the its following up o the candidacy phase with continued to the eighth day in a row, until the end of yesterday Tuesday, 8th September, 2015, the number of candidacy applicants reached to 4385, with an increase of 112 candidacy applicants from the day before yesterday, September 7th . The small numbers of candidacy applicants yesterday may due to the desire of many potential candidates in waiting for the results of the judgment of the Administrative Court to accept the appeal in districting law, and also waiting for the acceptance of the appeal of the High Commission's decision in regard of not to re-medical examination.

At the candidates level, Many of them continued to conduct electoral rounds, conferences, giving gifts and donations to associations and civil foundations and also sports clubs, in the various provinces. While one of the candidates in Menyt El Dakahlia donated with a large amount of money to complete the establishment of the Islamic Studies Faculty. As a candidate in the Giza governorate provided in-kind gifts for the people of the constituency, like gas cookers and washing machines, as well as mattresses.

And in a continuous phenomenon monitored by local -International Joint Mission, in most of the provinces, many candidates continued to use worship places and public facilities in presenting their election programs, the Mission also monitored yesterday, one of the candidates in Alexandria exploited children in carrying his electoral propaganda banners.

Regarding the parties political and powers, the Mission monitored he Free Egyptian party's declaration of freeze its support for the "in love of Egypt" list, arguing that the list choices are not in line with the state trend of supporting young people in political participation.
