A number of Africans living in a city south of China # are subjected to forms of discrimination, after positive cases of # Covid-19 virus were discovered among an African community.

Discrimination operations included expulsion, fear and bans on entering stores, and several Africans reported to the media that they were evicted from their homes and hotels refused to receive them.

As a result, the Chinese authorities imposed #_Quarantine on about 2,000 people with whom they had been in contact, while the Chinese government denied this.

The Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights recommends that the Chinese government take precautionary measures to prevent discrimination against Africans in the country, regardless of the cause. The Foundation also recommends the necessity to provide more health attention to these positive cases.
