Small projects are the beginning of the road to integrate the prisoners families in the society

Under the title "Small Projects are the Road Beginning" and for two days, Maat for Peace, Development and Human Rights concluded the 4th training course on Small Projects Management and how to get a loan, to benefit (14) of the prisoners families in Boulaq area, Giza governorate.
The training workshop is considered one of the "Integrated Protection of the Families of Prisoners and Detainees" project activities, which is implemented by Maat Foundation with generous support of the Swiss Foundation Drosos and seeks to improve the social, economic and legal situation for the families of prisoners and detainees in six districts in Cairo and Giza governorates.
Through the training workshops during the lifetime of the project, 90 training opportunities will be provided on how to obtain a loan and manage a small project for the families of prisoners and detainees in the framework of other project services to benefit over 2200 members of those families.
The training included different training methods such as individual and group brainstorming, presentations, working groups, working groups presentations, presentations to success stories between the training participants.
The training also included case studies models where the participants with the trainer concluded the importance of feasibility and marketing and sales skills.
The two days training tackled a number of important concepts on small projects concept, characteristics, merits, and components. How to evaluate small projects and a number of management skills including: planning; time management; leadership; and monitoring and evaluation.
At the end of the training and after the presentation of (39) small projects model, the trainees agreed on (9) small project ideas to be submitted to Maat Foundation in order to obtain in-kind grants to support their projects in the framework of the interim development for the project with the support of Drosos Foundation, these projects ideas include "packaging and selling vegetables, mobile accessories selling, ready-made cloths shop, porcelain products selling, packaging and selling salt".
(9) Projects that the trainees will present to the Maat Foundation for Peace and Development to obtain grants of his eyes to support their projects within the framework of the phased development of the project sponsored by the Swiss Foundation Drosos, and these projects include (packaging and selling vegetables - selling mobile accessories - a ready-to-wear store - selling porcelain products - packaging and selling salt the food )
In the end, Maat Foundation calls all the community groups, individuals and institutions to adopt the prisoners families issues and projects, along with giving them the opportunity to be productive and active community members.
