Program: Supporting international mechanisms for the protection of human rights

Job Description:

  • Drafting research and reports on human rights cases under the supervision of the direct manager.
  • Monitor human rights developments, including decisions of national, regional and international human rights bodies.
  • Support in the development, organization and implementation of awareness-raising activities and campaigns for education in the field of human rights and the development of the research field, and the formulation of analytical studies, press releases and documentation of materials in a systematic way.
  • - Contributing in organizing sessions and workshops including logistical support as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, Behaviors, and Experience Required to apply for the job:
  • A university degree preferably in one of the following fields: (politics, economics, law, social science or international relations).
  • Interest in the field of human rights and development, and experience through membership in a human rights organization, or participation in human rights promotion programs, or modeling activities and other student activities.
  • Demonstrated skills to write a report and do a research as well oral and written communication skills in both English and Arabic languages; additional foreign languages are desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a manner that is consistent with the ICG’s core behaviours and competencies.
  • Good working knowledge of Office, eg Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Administrative and financial procedures:
The applicant will undergo a probationary process for a maximum period of three months.
Salary determined on the basis of relevant experience.
Working days 6 days a week from Saturday to Thursday.
