With support from the European Union next Wednesday: Maat launches the first phase of training NGOs to follow up on Egypt's international obligations

Next Wednesday, March 23, 2016, the first phase of the training program for cadres of civil society organizations to follow up on Egypt's commitments to the universal periodic review mechanism implemented by Maat Foundation with funding from the European Union will start, as the first training workshops start in Luxor Governorate and aims to train 12 organizations from southern Upper Egypt governorates Where the first phase of the program’s training workshops will continue over the months of March and April 2016, and include all regions of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The program includes an integrated package of training topics that focus on the knowledge and skills aspects in order to upgrade the capabilities of local civil work organizations to communicate with international mechanisms for the protection of human rights within the framework of Egypt's obligations before the universal periodic review mechanism, in a way that helps the state to fulfill these obligations and improve the developmental conditions Human rights in Egypt, in a participatory context between the state and civil society organizations.
