Activating the role of officials, natural leaders, and volunteers in Atfeeh

In the context of its care for prisoners and detainees families, and in the framework of the activities of "Integrated Protection for the Prisoners and Detainees Families – Integration and Rehabilitation" implemented by Maat and supported by the Swiss Foundation Drosos, Maat for Peace, Development, and Human Rights organized a meeting for officials and natural leaders in Atfeeh, the meeting hosted each of:
• Mr. Ahmed Salah Hasheesh, Director of Youth and Sports Department in Atfeeh;
• Mr. Salah Abdel Azeem Mohammed, Director of the Social Education Supervision at the Educational Administration in Atfeeh;
• Mr. Mahmoud Mohammed Ewis, Chairman of Al Zohoor Association in Kafr Kandil'
• Mr. Eid Abu Nada, Chairman of Madaen El Elm Association in Qebabat;
• Mr. Nabil Ahmed, Director at the Social Affairs Unit in Kedaia;
• Mr. Mahmoud Mohammed Abdel Hameed, Director at AL Brembel Social Affairs Unit.
The meeting aimed to discuss the current issues facing the project activities' implementation in Atfeeh, how to address them, along with finding solutions with the involvement of natural leaders.
The meeting also discussed the role of volunteers, how to provide them with training to be qualified to perform the project objectives, and to guarantee the access of prisoners and detainees families to innovative services including the society encouragement to support prisoners and detainees families, how to communicate with the target group and include new members in the project activities, along with attracting new volunteers and other supportive activities to prisoners and detainees families.
