Maat Foundation report to the Human Rights Committee regarding Israel

Successive Israeli governments have continued violations of the right of the Palestinian people, through the practice of extrajudicial killings, arbitrary detention, torture inside prisons, violation of the right to movement and imposing sieges on Palestinians, ill-treatment of children, absence of fair trials for civilians, suppression of peaceful marches, and restrictions on the work of organizations Human rights defenders and the repression of human rights defenders, in addition to allowing the violation of various religious sanctities, its settlement and racial plans, the policy of annexation and seizure of lands, and other violations that violate international conventions and covenants, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, to which Israel acceded in October 1991.
