Maat Foundation report submitted to the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on the subordination of the Kingdom of Bahrain

The Kingdom of Bahrain joined the Convention on Persons with Disabilities on June 25, 2007, and officially ratified its accession on September 22, 2011, and Law No. (22) of 2011 was issued in this regard, ratifying the Convention on Persons with Disabilities, and Bahrain submitted its national report in 2019. It is a comprehensive report of the first and second periodic reports regarding the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the provisions of the agreement it signed. The Kingdom of Bahrain will be brought before the committee during the twenty-third session held from August 17 to September 4, 2020, within the list of issues in question.

Hence an institution is provided , Maat for Peace, Development, and Human Rights (Egypt) This report, regarding issues that the Kingdom of Bahrain did not cover in its combined national reports for the first and second reports, which Bahrain submitted on October 12, 2019, and was supposed to be presented in 2013 under Article 35 of the agreement, and the report tries to highlight the extent of the Kingdom's commitment Bahrain is implementing the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and the reforms undertaken for persons with disabilities based on compliance with the provisions of the Convention and the obstacles facing this group of people with special needs, and then we hope that these observations and recommendations will help to close all the gaps, whether legislative or executive of the convention, in granting these The category has its rights under the aforementioned agreement.
