The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has joined The International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination on September 23, 1997, and the state is supposed to submit its combined periodic report of the tenth and eleventh to the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on October 22, 2020, and would like the institution to commend the progress made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Especially after news emerged from several major sources in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia about its intention to abolish corporal punishment such as flogging or amputation of limbs, as well as to refrain from executing juveniles, in line with international commitments and recommendations that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia accepted during the last universal periodic review. It did not show effective cooperation with the requests to visit the special rapporteurs of the United Nations bodies.
