Press release The local- international joint mission to observe the Parliamentary elections – Egypt 2015. issued the 1st report to assist the Legislative environment's reform period

in the frame work of the local- international joint mission to observe the Parliamentary elections – Egypt 2015, announcement of continuing its work of observing the Parliamentary elections after the judgment of the constitutional court, in the contest of its evaluation for the on -going reforms in the legislative environment and Procedural level, so the parliamentary observatory affiliated to the local- international joint mission to observe the Parliamentary elections – Egypt 2015 has issued the 1st report which included a review of the conducted legislative and government actions by the government in order to reform the districts division law, and the reactions of the parties and political powers.
The mission indicated in its report to the importance of building on the decision of committee reformation , which opened the door for using the experienced figures , and engaging politicians and political powers representatives as members of the committee, the mission also indicated to the importance of making a direct and effective dialogue ,by the committee, with the with the leaders of the party work to discuss their reservations and apprehensions of the formation of the committee with the same ex-members, and providing a sufficient guarantees in order to the committee not being intransigence in its vision which was conducted before in the previous districting
As well as the local-international joint mission demanded the law reform committee to the necessary of development of an institutional mechanism to receive the proposals from the political parties, political powers and CSOs, the committee in this field can allocate a website for this purpose, or even organizing a hearings and workshops with the various parties representatives, also the committee must guarantee that all submitted proposals will be discussed.
It is worth mentioning that ,the International-Local Joint Mission to Observe the Parliamentary Election –Egypt 2015, Is a coalition consist of the Global Network for Rights and Development - GNRD (Norway) and the International Institute for Peace, Justice and Human Rights – IIPJHR (Switzerland), along with a key local partner represented in MAAT for Peace, Development and Human Rights (MAAT) addition to 31 local Organization.
