An Egyptian politician calls for an Arab initiative to achieve peace and development in Yemen

Private sources from Cairo confirmed to the International Press Agency (Aegis) that Dr. Ali El-Din Hilal, the former Egyptian Minister of Youth, is making extensive contacts with a number of Arab political and human rights figures with the aim of working on establishing an Arab civil committee for dialogue for peace and development in Yemen.
According to the sources, a group of Arab experts and activists from Yemen, Algeria, Mauritania and Sudan responded to Dr. Hilal's call to participate in the establishment of the committee, as contacts are still continuing until the moment with leaders of Arab civil organizations and specialized legal professionals from other Arab countries to expand the base of activity, which is the first of its kind since the start of the war. It is worth noting that Dr. Hilal, a professor of political science at Cairo University, held the position of Minister of Youth during the years 1999 to 2004 and was elected president of the Arab Association for Political Science. He also actively contributed, along with the late Dr. Abdul Karim al-Iryani, the former Yemeni Prime Minister, in establishing the Arab League for Democracy headed by Al-Iryani in The year 2007 AD, along with a distinguished group of Arab political and human rights elites.
