Okail: some candidates took advantage of the anniversary of October victory in Electoral campaigning

The joint international mission to follow up on the parliamentary elections continued its field follow-up of the electoral process of the Egyptian parliament, as the mission followed yesterday the rejection of the Supreme Elections Committee, the request of the leaders of the "Egypt" list, which includes the "Egyptian Front" and "Independence Movement" coalition, to postpone voting in the governorates of Upper Egypt, And that after the court accepted the papers of the list in Upper Egypt.

Aqil also stated that the mission's field monitoring team in the various departments monitored that some candidates exploit national events, such as the glorious October war memorials, in promoting and publicizing themselves. In Menoufia Governorate, Bandar Shebin al-Kom district, candidate Saber Abu Khashaba organized and participated in the celebration of the October Victory Anniversary as a kind of propaganda Electors.
The mission also monitored the candidates' continued use of clubs and sports centers to promote their electoral propaganda. In Kafr El Sheikh governorate, Bella and Hamoul constituencies, candidate Abdul Aziz Hammouda organized a football tournament in the village of Shatt, affiliated to the Bella Center, and distributed prizes to the participants.
The mission also observed that the candidate Fouad Hamed, from the Helwan district of Cairo, distributed food and gifts to the people, using children in his electoral propaganda.
The mission also monitored the intensification of the candidates in the first stage of their electoral propaganda, which crystallized in the organization of electoral conferences and seminars.
