The Parliamentary Elections Observatory of the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights continued to monitor the course of the second phase of the elections, which are scheduled to take place on the next Sunday and Monday, and the observatory followed up the electoral campaigning phase, which yesterday witnessed many violations by the candidates.

In this context, Ayman Aqil, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights stated that the Foundation has submitted a formal complaint to the Supreme Elections Committee against the candidate, Sherif Hammouda, who exploited the youth’s need to work and provided 2,500 job opportunities. The Foundation will also submit a report to the Attorney General within a few hours against The candidate is to use the youth’s needs in the electoral campaign, which is considered a bribe by all standards.

Aqeel also added that the fact that any of the candidates donate to hospitals or give free medicines a few days before the poll falls under the influence of the voters ’desire to have freedom of choice and is considered an electoral bribe. As Aqeel stated that the candidates visiting places of worship is a violation of the law, and the competent authorities must take Necessary about it.
