As one of the three international organizations just got official permission to follow up the Egyptian presidential elections, starting with Election, Network in the Arab world starts the field of follow-up for the elections scheduled to take place during the first round on next Wednesday and Thursday (23 to 24 May 2012). The Election Network in the Arab world has completed the procedures of applying for getting permits for monitoring the elections, and also permits members nominated by the network, through a coordinated network in Egypt which is "Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights" The election network in the Arab world shall pursue the presidential election of Egypt through the mission of (72) observers belonging to 14 countries (Kuwait - Bahrain - Palestine - Jordan - Iraq - Tunisia - Yemen - Sudan - Morocco - Algeria - France - Italy - Lebanon - Oman - Syria - Saudi Arabia). The Network within the last days of its office during the executive and advisory bodies has begun to develop a form to assess the electoral process including (19) various questions from which we can judge accurately the quality of the electoral process in a systematic and scientific methods away from the personal biases and inaccurate description. It is expected that follow up team will be arrived within next 24 hours of the observers of Cairo. A coordination meeting and a session of training will e held at the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights, where there will be an agreement on a plan of field work and logistics. Follow up observers will be provided with sufficient copies of evaluation forms and legal procedures the organization of the electoral process in Egypt. Ayman Okail, member of the executive of the network and the Director-General of the Maat Foundation, which is the Coordinator of Egypt of the network, has stated that the network obtained 72 permits out of 74 permits made to the Presidential Election Commission. He also reported that the mission will commit firmly with decisions of the Presidential Election Commission, particularly those relating to refrain for making statements during the electoral process, and will prepare a full report after the end of the electoral process. A full report will be prepared after the end of electoral process and will show all the notes monitored by observers. It is worth mentioning that the network of elections in the Arab world had followed the previous parliamentary elections (Parliament - the Shura Council) through a team of 63 observers.
