Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights began the follow-up of the presidential election since this morning by 105 Members of the popularity committee of the governorates (Luxor - Sharquia - Menofia - Cairo - Giza).
Maat Foundation has received statements from some members of the committees and the voters of these governorates that will be monitored for the adjournment of the Higher Committee for election by the end of the day. We can state the most important phenomena of the first hours of the day following the first election as follows:
- Sharqia Governorate: Committee of Shobak Primary School –Zagazig- first election propaganda is in favor of candidate Mohamed Morsi, in addition to the distribution of bribes (50 pounds + kilo of meat + kilo of rice). Going of supporters of the candidate for the homes of voters to bring them to electoral committees and assembling them at noon prayer, urging them to elect Mohamed Morsi
- Sharquia – Committee of Fakous Military Secondary School: The committee stopped for a while because of the non compliance of electoral lists of the committee and the judge makes a formal record and makes a contact with the Electoral committee.
1 – Sharquia- Committee of Alberom Elementary School: There is an election propaganda at walls and fences of Byrom Elementary School and the turnout of voters is weak.
- Luxor: Committee of Saladin Elementary School: Committees opened at 8:20am; some voters were prevented from voting because of the expiry of their cards.
- Luxor: Committee of Al-Garaya Elementary School: There are electoral campaigning signs before this Committee (no for the Brotherhood, yes for Ahmed Shafiq) - a small and weak turnout of voters - no voters lists in electoral committees
- Luxor: Committee of El-Nemsa Primary Mixed School of Luxor: The presence of an election campaign signs for the candidate of (Ahmed Shafik), through the cards with photo of Ahmed Shafiq
- Cairo: - Average turnout in committees of Youth Center of Al-Tagamaa
1 - Cairo: In Helwan Elementary Mixed School, the committee starts at 8:20am. There is an average turnout for the committee by the voters, the presence of images (prohibited advertisement) posters before the committee for the candidate Mohamed Morsy and others for Abdel Moneim Abul Fotouh
2 - Cairo : Committees of Bank of Alexandria School at region of Arab Rashed - Helwan – Cairo: Turnout of voters on the committee is very weak because the committee is very far from residential areas.
3 - Cairo: Committee of Ali Bin Abi Talib school of Basateen: It started at 8:20 sharp in trying to prevent one observer to enter the committee by the police.
4 – Cairo: Committee of Khalid Bin Al Waleed Orep for Boys : The army is organizing the voters queue in front of the sub-committees and no voters list in the committee.
5 - Cairo: - Committee of Manshiet Gabriel Elementary School: There is a dispute led to a harsh dialogue between police and a person with the laptop as a result of asking him to move away but he refused.
Maat Foundation will submit through the operations room all the violations that will be monitored and verified to the Supreme Committee, not for the elections, by the end of the day, and violations will also be included in the report that will be prepared after the end of the round.
