The number of people affected by # floods and floods in # Sudan reached 650 thousand people, including more than 110 thousand in the first week of # this September.

# Maat Foundation notes the need to focus on the most urgent needs at the present time, represented by the provision of shelter, non-food items, water and sanitation services, in addition to the need to prepare to respond to disease outbreaks as a result of floods and transmitted diseases.

Maat Foundation warns of deteriorating conditions in the coming weeks as the # expected torrential rains in Ethiopia and parts of Sudan, according to meteorological forecasts, may cause an increase in water levels in #-Blue Nile, which will lead to more floods and devastation.

The Foundation supports the proposal that the aid currently provided to the government and people of Sudan must be more sustainable, #, to avoid this huge future damage with this huge impact, and not just current palliative agents of the crisis.
