On the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought ... the world must participate

On June 17th, the world celebrates the # International Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, a problem with a global dimension that not only affects African, Latin and Asian countries, but its effects on the whole world.

Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights shares the global concern about the impact of about 3.2 billion people as a result of land degradation, and the conversion of 70% from mainland due to human activity.

Maat Foundation stresses the need for the countries of the world to commit themselves to implementing the UN Resolution # on the problems arising from the threat of desertification and combating it, issued on June 17, 1994, in a way that contributes to achieving the fifteenth goal of #_Sustainable Development 2030, related to protecting, restoring and promoting sustainable use of wild ecosystems, and managing Forests in a sustainable way, # combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, and halt biodiversity loss.
