The international mission to follow up on the referendum on constitutional amendments - Egypt - 2019 is completing its follow-up work to the referendum on constitutional amendments for the second day in a row, as the delegation of the mission, which consists of 69 members, started early in the morning and deployed in 14 Egyptian governorates to determine the course of the referendum and vote process. According to the observations of the delegation of the international mission, in addition to the observations of local followers spread in fourteen Egyptian governorates, a number of observations were monitored.:

The opening of some committees in a number of governorates was delayed until the arrival of judges, while most of the polling stations and committees adhered to the dates for opening the committees and for receiving citizens participating in the vote.

The international follow-up teams in Cairo observed an intensity of participation in many committees in the governorates of Cairo and Giza, and the mission's attention was drawn to the flock of dozens of workers to cast their votes in the committees of the Seventh District in Sixth of October City since the committees' door was opened, after going to the polling committees en masse, carrying signs showing the names The companies they work for. While the participation rates decreased in both Dokki and Zamalek. In Cairo, participation rates increased in Al-Matareya, the airport and Nasr City, as well as Madinaty and Rehab.

Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate also witnessed a marked increase in turnout compared to yesterday, Saturday. While most polling stations in Fayoum witnessed weak participation at the beginning of the second day of voting. At a time when participation rates increased in Shebin Al-Kom in Menoufia, the percentage decreased significantly in “Tala”.

In North Sinai Governorate, the Sinai Tribes Union facilitated voter access to polling stations to vote, as El-Arish committees witnessed wide participation of citizens.

The international mission noticed the spread of celebrations in front of polling stations in general, where there are noticeably loudspeakers and vehicles carrying loudspeakers that play patriotic songs, and participation is widely promoted, either by unidentified individuals or by young political parties. The intense presence and spread of youth from different parties, and perhaps the almost complete control was for the youth of the Future Nation Party, then the Egyptian Freedom Party.

There were also widespread vehicles and buses transporting citizens free of charge to the polling stations, and cars with the slogans of the Future Nation Party and the Egyptian Freedom Party were observed, roaming the streets with loudspeakers calling on citizens to participate, accompanied by patriotic and popular songs.

In the villages of Qalyubia, Kafr El Sheikh, Menoufia and Fayoum, a lot of “takatak” has been spotted carrying pictures of the “Do the right thing” campaign. They roam the villages and invite citizens to participate and transport them to polling stations for free.

The mission continues its work until the polls close by the end of the day, and other reports are issued throughout the day.
