The governing authority adopts the "deaf ear" policy along with resorting to militias in the face of peaceful protests

Within the signing organizations' close following up to the peaceful demonstrations that were called for by political parties, powers, and movements in Egypt, which have been escalating since middle of last week until they reached their peak on Sunday June 30th 2013, those demonstrations called for early presidential elections and the resignation of the governing regime.
And based on what has been monitored during the past few days, according to the documented facts and testimonies, and according to the media reports that have been published by audio-visual and print media, the signing organizations on the statement would like to present their evaluation to the situation to the public opinion and beneficiaries, along with their vision to get out of the current crisis as following:
• The Right to Protest and the Freedom of Expression are the most significant accomplishments of January revolution, it would be unacceptable from the governing authority to prevents this right, take the society years back, or prevent its rights that were stated in international conventions ratified by Egypt. In this regard, its noteworthy that several indicators indicated that the governing authority and their allies of political currents with religious background are punishing the people for adhering to their Right to Protest, the violence and assassinations in several governorates including: Assuit, Daqahlia, Beni Suef, Cairo, and Alexandria targeted peaceful demonstrators and were committed by either supporters of the Freedom and Justice Party or their allies, especially when those parties leadership consists of members who practiced violence before under religious slogans.
• Those who were killed no matter their political affiliations, and those who were injured during the past few hours paid dearly for the failure of the governing authority due to the fact that it has the capacity to communicate with people and eliminate the violence reasons and handle the political tension reasons'.
• The speech adopted by the governing regime and their allies which distrusts and makes infidels of people with legitimate demands is obscurantist and inconsistent with the democratic transition demands or the demands to establish pluralist democracy. This speech also ignores important facts such as the existence of over 14 million protesters in 16 different squares in Egypt.
• The signing organizations condemn threatening with violence and resorting to militias by the governing regime, as well as the presidential institution's silence on this speech.
• The signing organizations express their concerns about the Deaf Ear policy adopted by the presidential institution towards the escalating demonstrations calling for legitimate demands, which indicates the failure of the governing authority to fulfill citizen's political, economic and social rights over the past months. The organizations also questioning the lack of adopting any efficient and quick steps towards listening to the demonstrators' demands and reacting positively to them to stop the bloodshed in Egypt and protect the country from chaos, which had been indicated in several positions of the president's statements.
• The signing organizations praise the police and Armed Forces perfect stance of the demonstrators, they believe that this stance represents an essential positive transformation in the security apparatus behavior in Egypt, they call upon those apparatuses to protect the protesters right in expressing their opinions and demands.
• The signing organizations indicate that despite the millions in Egypt squares' yesterday, there's no record for attacking the state properties, police stations, or private properties, which is an irrefutable proof of the peaceful demonstrations and denies the allegations of the governing authority.
Based on that, the signing organizations bears the responsibility of preserving the protesters lives on the governing regime, as well as the consequences of the Deaf Ear policy, referring to drawing the state to chaos and affecting the citizen's interests, they also advice the presidential institution to isolate itself from any illegal groups and not to put any group's favor over the state higher interests.
