An educational awareness-raising meeting in the Maasara area for the families of prisoners and detainees

Within the framework of the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights endeavor to provide mechanisms to improve the educational conditions of the families of prisoners and detainees and enable them to integrate into society, the Maat Foundation, in cooperation with the Association Achieve Your Goal, one of the local network associations in the project, organized a volunteer seminar for families of prisoners in the area
The symposium was attended by (15) members of the families of prisoners and detainees in the project for the integrated protection of the families of prisoners and detainees - integration and rehabilitation
The meeting also witnessed the attendance of the volunteer (Sahar Salamah Odeh) who specializes in parenting programs and awareness programs in the arts of education. The meeting was effectively conducted between families and the lecture and presented through it numerical problems facing families, such as having to beat their children. The lecture addressed the problems that are expected to occur if families continue to use these methods and explained that there is a stage of rejection that all adolescents go through, and families must understand this and pay attention to the characteristics and features of the age stage they want.
The meeting also witnessed the distribution of (15) cartons of ration aid, which volunteers filled out to the families of the pressurized in severe need.
The Foundation opens its cultivation to volunteers to support, train and empower these families and provide grants and opportunities for them to improve their quality of life.
The project of talking protection for the families of prisoners and detainees is witnessing continuous development based on the special needs of prisoners' families in the areas targeted by the project at the level of the governorates of Cairo and Giza, which are regions (Dar al-Salam, al-Basateen and al-Khalifah - Ambae and Bulaq - al-Maasara and Atfih)
The project seeks to mobilize the community to adopt the issues of the families of prisoners and detainees and to provide support and assistance to them and their children, including training, education, educational materials, foodstuffs, external books, and to provide medical services for them to facilitate a decent livelihood for them and their children.
The volunteers of the project in each of its six regions strive to organize volunteer activities and service initiatives that meet the needs of families, ranging from awareness and education seminars to clothing exhibitions to medical convoys.
