As the Maat Foundation for Peace considers with great concern, condemnation and condemnation the developments taking place in the Libyan territories, and is following with great interest the stages of peaceful transition in Libya,
The Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights and the Regional Coordinator for North Africa in the group of major NGOs in Africa call on all parties to adopt a policy of rejecting violence and extremism, and to pursue instead peaceful and negotiated solutions to end the crisis the country is going through.
And Maat appeals to all stakeholders to play their role in calming the situation, and spreading messages of cooperation and peace as a path to development. And stresses that peace and stability are the two paths to achieving the goals of sustainable development, and these conflicts and terrorist operations represent the greatest challenge to the advancement of any country, as murder, violence and destruction lead to the collapse of states and the elimination of the dreams of their youth.
It is worth noting that the African Great Group is a grouping of all non-governmental organizations in the African continent, and it is one of the continental groups of the high-level political forum of the United Nations concerned with achieving the goals of sustainable development 2030. This group falls under one of the specific sectors, which is the NGO Committee . The group is also working to unify the voice of African civil society to serve the sustainable development goals, by dividing Africa into five regions representing the whole continent.
