Maat condemns the killing of 60 people in Nigeria

At least 20 soldiers and more than 40 civilians were killed and hundreds injured in two attacks of # ISIS in West Africa, Saturday, June 13, 2020, in Borno state in northeastern Nigeria #.

The two attacks in Mongunu and Nganzai regions come just days after at least 69 people were killed by militants in a raid on a village in Gobio district in the same state.

It is worth noting that hundreds of civilians have been wounded in the shooting. Militants also set fire to a police station and set fire to a #-United Nations aid center in the area. The fighters distributed messages to residents in the local Hausa language warning them not to work with the army and “white westerners or other infidels”.

The Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights condemns these events, mourns the families of the martyrs, and demands more decisiveness in the face of this terrorist organization, which is exploiting the country's preoccupation in facing the Corona crisis and with other terrorist organizations, sabotage and bloody operations.
