The report reviewed the positions of the most important potential candidates after the official withdrawal of the team, Ahmed Shafiq, and the nature of the forces supporting each candidate, as well as the work developments in the National Elections Authority, the guarantees demanded by potential candidates, complaints raised from some potential candidates, as well as the developments in the security and economic scenes.
The report recommended that guarantees should be put in place not to misuse the declaration of the state of emergency, as there are fears of using it against candidates and exposure to their propaganda moves, and that the National Elections Commission will take the necessary measures in confronting campaigns that demand President Sisi to run for a second term, as it contradicts laws and procedures governing elections and competition rules In addition to the necessity for the commission to react quickly with all complaints brought before it regarding the presidential elections, even before the official dates for the electoral process start.
