Sally Atef, a media personality, development expert and president of the African Dream Foundation, presented ideas about what the media can do to achieve development in the African continent as a whole.

Stressing the need to differentiate between traditional media and technological media that use modern social media. Which is considered the most effective way to address the African issue. She added that the role of the media on both sides is still ineffective to the extent that we hope to achieve the desired peace and security.

Ayman Akil, President of Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights said that the media can contribute to confronting extremism and terrorism, by promoting the correct image of the continent. This will motivate investors and donors to work on development files, such as education, health and infrastructure, in a way that helps spread peace and security.

Adding that the terrorist groups' media is developed and plays on the war of rumors, and it must be confronted with the same tools. It is worth noting that the Peacemakers Forum comes within the framework of the project implemented by the Maat Foundation, in cooperation with the North and South Center of the Council of Europe within the framework of the Third South Program funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe.
