Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights expresses its deep regret that the Office of the High Commissioner and the Secretary-General have ignored their report on cooperation with the United Nations and its representatives and mechanisms in the field of human rights and ignored the official complaint and the report submitted by the Foundation in May 2018, which included documented and confirmed evidence of establishing The government of the State of Qatar practicing acts of intimidation and intimidation against the Foundation and its representatives during its participation in the 37th and subsequent session of the Human Rights Council, and in this it used media outlets and organizations that adopt the viewpoint of the State of Qatar and are funded and administered by affiliates of the Qatari government with the purpose of distorting and intimidating the institution and preventing it from discussing issues of rights violations People with a regional scope and sufficient evidence of the State of Qatar's relationship with it, on top of which is the issue of supporting terrorism and extremism and feeding hate speech.

Although the complaint was officially sent four months ago and we were answered with the arrival of the complaint, it was not included in the annual report, and we cannot say that there is selectivity in dealing with complaints, and Maat Foundation demands to receive a response and a clear explanation of what happened, and it questions formally through this intervention. On the “fate of the complaint submitted in May 2018,” and calls on the Human Rights Council to put an end to the selective practices practiced by some of those affiliated with human rights protection mechanisms, and to request clarifications from the Commissioner on the reasons for withholding the complaint from appearing in the annual report.
