Within the framework of the Egyptian 2015 Parliamentary Elections Observatory of the "Joint International Local Mission", the eleventh report was issued to monitor violence and terrorism and their implications related to the electoral process during the period from 13-19 March 2015, the period that coincided with the end of the activities of the Conference on Support and Development of the Economy. Egyptian. The report monitored 110 cases of violence, in 20 governorates, and targeting citizens and civil and service facilities gained the largest share of violence and bombings in various Egyptian governorates, with a rate of 82%. In the context of its analysis of the statistical indications and figures related to the events of violence, terrorism, explosions and bombing attempts that took place during the period covered by the report, the Observatory revealed a set of indications, the most important of which are the following: 110 incidents of violence, compared to 184 violent incidents last week, which means a decrease of approximately 40%. Despite this noticeable decrease from last week, the rate remains large compared to the previous weeks of last week, and we can conclude from this an important fact, which is that the forces of terrorism were mobilizing all their energy to disrupt the economic conference and send negative messages to foreign investors immediately before the economic conference . Terrorist elements continue to target citizens directly, as their text was 45 out of a total of 110 violent incidents, with a ratio of 41 % of the total violent incidents. Civilian targets (places of gathering of citizens - service facilities - places of worship) continued to be targeted in a very dense manner, with their share of 90 cases out of a total of 110 cases of violence and a percentage of approximately 82%, which is the highest rate since the beginning of the monitoring period in January 2015. Violent incidents spread in many Egyptian governorates. This week, there were 110 incidents of violence scattered between 20 governorates. Terrorist groups continue to target some branches of foreign companies and brands in order to influence the foreign investment climate associated with the economic conference in Egypt. The continued targeting of universities and schools, but less than last week (6 cases compared to 19 cases last week).
