For the ninth consecutive day, Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights is following the activities of the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights in its 68th session. As an observer member of the committee, Maat Foundation participates virtually in the activities of the Commission today. We review the most prominent events today as follows:

The work of the committee today focused on item 7 regarding the presentation of periodic reports by the commissioners of the committee, in addition to a number of interventions by civil society organizations, on which the institution had comments and interventions related to it.

The committee specifically addressed the activity reports of: the Working Group on the Death Penalty and Extrajudicial Killing, the Committee on Torture in Africa, the Special Rapporteur on Prisons and Conditions of Detention and the Police, and the Special Rapporteur on Women in Africa.
