The arrival of the members of the International Alliance for Peace and Development to Geneva

Members of the International Alliance for Peace and Development arrived in Geneva in preparation to participate in the thirty-seventh session of the Human Rights Council at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, where the alliance will be officially launched on the sidelines of the session and the founding meeting of the coalition, which includes 40 organizations from 23 different countries, will be held.

The Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights had called for the establishment of the coalition last September, and a number of non-governmental organizations active in peace, development and human rights issues from the continents of Europe, Asia and Africa took the initiative to join the coalition, and then the founders agreed that the alliance would be officially launched on the sidelines of the meetings. The 37th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, as one of the most important UN forums concerned with peace and human rights issues.

The coalition will hold several parallel activities at the headquarters of the Human Rights Council. It will also hold a number of interviews with UN officials, experts, civil society organizations, and delegations of member states of the Council, in addition to holding the first official founding meeting of the coalition.
