The Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights submitted an official communication to the Attorney General Counselor, bearing No. 6085, on April 26, 2016, and the Foundation also drafted a report at the Department of Combating Computer Crimes at the Ministry of Interior under No. 15 Cases dated April 26, 2016.

This is after it received messages on its pages and groups on the social networking site from unknown persons describing themselves as a “revolutionary front operating with intelligence methods”, claiming their ability to penetrate all websites and network systems of the concerned state agencies, and offering their services to the institution, which are in violation of the law and directly harm security Nationalist and incompatible with the human rights role of civil society organizations.

The officials of the Foundation’s pages have responded to the owners of these messages indicating their rejection of this method, their denunciation of cooperating with people who use social media to engage in criminal acts under a political cover, and clarify that Ma’at is a human rights institution and not political, and operates with absolute transparency and does not need to use intelligence or methods. Covert methods.

After that, the Foundation was surprised by the owner of the anonymous account, attacking the institution, insulting, insulting and defaming the institution and some of its officials. It also practiced incitement against the institution, and mobilized those it calls "Islamic intelligence", in what is considered a veiled threat of violence against the institution and its officials.

The Maat Foundation affirms that it does not pay much attention to calls of incitement, and the terror campaigns will not discourage it from fulfilling its role in serving human rights issues. It calls on security institutions to pursue those accounts and pages that incite violence and killing, uncover the organizations behind them, and activate them. Law articles related to confronting them.
