24 small projects for families of prisoners and detainees in Cairo and Giza

Within the framework of the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights implementation of the activities of the “Integrated Protection for Families of Prisoners and Detainees” project in the governorates of Cairo and Giza, the Foundation handed over (24) eye grants to implement small projects for the families of prisoners and detainees. It is worth noting that Maat Foundation, through the project, sought to improve the economic conditions of the families of prisoners and detainees in the targeted areas in the governorates of Cairo and Giza, namely (Al-Khalifa, Dar Al-Salam and Al-Basateen - Al-Maasara, Atfih - Imbaba and Bulaq). The project provides services to the families of prisoners and detainees up to the fourth degree of kinship. Craftsmanship in sewing, embroidery and crochet skills. Professional training for computer use and maintenance of mobile or shower devices. Employment services. Coexistence training in order to improve the economic conditions of families of prisoners and detainees. The project provides for distinguished families who are graduates of training programs or who are qualified to do small projects. In kind to set up and manage a small project after training these families on the skills of managing small projects and ways to obtain a loan from associations and institutions that grant loans for this, the Foundation has handed over (24) grants in kind represented by (5 Singer machines - three Aurelia machines - one deep freezer - and raw materials For embroidery - and detergents for the detergent project - and large quantities of fruits and vegetables for projects selling vegetables and fruits) and benefited from Of these grants, (24) families are imprisoned and detained to work small projects that generate a quick profit for them to help them in difficult life conditions and enable them to rely on themselves and it is mentioned that the Foundation will follow these families in managing their projects in order to provide them with continuous technical support and facilitate the obstacles that may occur during Their project cycle, and the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights invites the civil society with all its leadership and institutions to cooperate together to support this marginalized group in society.
