MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE

Maat for Peace, Development and Human Rights is keen to invest the human energies present in it and to use them efficiently and effectively, thus achieving immediate and sustainable follow-up of human rights issues in the world and helping them to take and follow effective methods and mechanisms to defend these issues and reduce the severity and frequency of human rights violations in these countries.

The administrative structure of Maat: consists of :

Foundation's Board of Trustees

Maat’s Board of Trustees is made up of three Egyptian members who enjoy their civil and political rights in accordance with Egyptian laws. Final rulings have not been issued against them in criminal penalties or misdemeanors that violate honor and trust.

Branches and wroking units

The administrative structure of Maat Foundation includes the branches and units concerned with working on the Foundation’s programs and ensuring the achievement of its objectives. These branches and units operate at the national and / or regional level.

and among its specializations:

  • Conducting research projects and studies for the institution with a focus on human rights violations in the thematic and geographical areas concerned with them.
  • Launch advocacy campaigns, lobbying, advocacy and pressure on local governments
  • Communication and networking with the international and regional mechanisms to protect human rights and promote sustainable development
  • Managing the programs and events implemented by MAAT
  • Developing media work strategies

Individuals and volunteers

Maat considers every human rights activist and defender and every actor in his society who aims to improve his conditions in accordance with international human rights covenants and principles, is part of the institution.

 Maat remains in constant contact with these individuals at the local and regional levels, as groups of individuals in the different countries in which the Foundation works interact with the work team to document violations, submit complaints and network with international mechanisms for the protection of human rights.

The volunteers and trainees occupy a part of the institution’s structure and interest, thanks for their energy and time to learn and cooperate with us, as well as gain experiences, mutual learning and spread the culture of human rights among the largest number of possible segments at the local and regional level.
